Here are some suggestions for using The Tell Woman as stimulus for creative play with your child or children, whether at home, or in a group or school setting. We've workshopped these ideas with several age groups and had lots of fun all round.

YES / NOS
Children can copy the yes/no dance using their own shoes tucked under their chins....or use the idea to make up their own yes/no dance. This works especially well with the yes/no music. A new reason to get behind the couch!
SLOMO CATCH
Based on the Sproings stealing the precious box, and their game of slow motion piggy-in-the-middle, incorporating several sports genres. The object to be manoeuvred can be anything, but works best if it is a soft object. Appropriate music is included on the CD which can be ordered here.
MULTI ARM PLAY
Twice in The Tell Woman we see SAM with more than one set of arms, firstly when the Confusers teach her the clapping game that calls the Snufflers...which turns nasty, and secondly when SAM takes over from The Tell Woman at the end....which is good. Games can be played in a group or with a mirror...what looks and feels friendly, what is not?
HAIR WEEDS
It can be fun to make your own hair weed tickler by fastening rags of material to the end of a rod or bamboo. You don't need the stick though, you can just use a handful of rags. If your child or children lies on the floor with their eyes closed...they can guess where the tickling can start....they'll also love returning the favour.
